This seminar is a practical discussion of the C programming language. It builds on the current knowledge and abilities of experienced programmers instead of starting from scratch. The emphasis is on topics which will advance the knowledge and capabilities of a programmer who has had C training in the past but wants a refresher before beginning work in the language.
The goal of this seminar is to allow the attendee to understand and utilize the C programming language. Various issues involving code portability and understandability will also be considered.
Attendees should have had C training in the past with atleast 18 contact hours. They should also be familiar with 3GL programming. The topics are not environment specific, so VAX and UNIX experience is not required, but may be helpful. Although it is not a requirement, many of the attendees of this seminar in the past have had experience with COBOL.
Intermediate to Advanced level, technical.
